The 529 pilgrims from Borneo State and officials aboard Max Air VM 1001 landed in Madinah few minutes before midnight.
The pilgrims were welcomed by Nigerian officials already in the Holy Land a few days ago.
They were immediately conveyed to their hotels in Madinah.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Consulate in Jeddah has assured Nigerian contingent to 2022 Hajj of necessary consular support throughout their pilgrimage.
The assurance was given by the Consul General, Ambassador Mansur Abdul Kareem while playing host to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria Advanced Team for 2022hajj operation. Ambassador Abdul Kareem reiterated the determination of the Mission to assist and partner with the Commission in the onerous task of making this year’s hajj a huge success.
He noted that the staff of the Mission are ready to to work closely with relevant Saudi agencies in this regard.
While speaking, the Deputy Makkah Office Coordinator, Alidu Shutti appreciated the Consul General, Ambassador Abdul Kareem for the energy and the resources deployed into Hajjj management.
Mr. Shutti noted that the Team was in the Consulate to announce the formal arrival of the Commission for the exercise.
The Deputy Makkah Coordinator hinted that a number of orientation programmes were organised for the intending pilgrims across the country, soliciting continuous partnership with the Commission, adding that no stone will be left unturned towards a hitch free Hajj exercise.
