Hardship: Kano residents go spiritual

As the 10 days nationwide protests ends on Saturday, some residents of Kano State have gone spiritual to seek divine intervention to overcome the too many woes bedeviling the nation.

The residents went ahead to observe the special prayers despite pressures to cancel the prayer session.

The prayer was observed at the Isyaku Rabiu mosque at Goron Dutse area in Dala Local Government of the state.

A resident, Rabiu Shamma took to his Facebook page to post a short video (one minute plus) on how the prayer was conducted.

He captioned the video “A Quranic recitation from here Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu mosque, Goron Dutse, Kano for a prayer for the situation our country is in, may we find solace. Amin.”

Informations available also has it that the prayer was held in areas such as, Gyadi-Gyadi, Hausawa, Daurawa, Yankaba, Sabon Titi, Panshekara and Tudun Murtala among others.

It was gathered that the special prayer was held despite earlier announcement by one of the organizers, Mubarak Ibrahim canceling the prayer session due to security reasons.

Recall that the August 1st protest started peacefully in the state before it turned violent leading to maiming, looting and destructions of public and private properties in the state.
