MADINAH/MAKKAH — The Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah and the Grand Mosque in Makkah have been transformed into breathtaking spiritual destinations, captivating worshippers and visitors with their enchanting lighting and fragrant incense.

The Prophet’s Mosque boasts an impressive display of over 30 types of lighting, totaling 80,419 units. The diverse range of fixtures, varying in shape, size, and power, enhances the mosque’s spiritual and architectural ambiance. Prominent features include 300 chandeliers in the old prayer hall and 10,546 lighting units adorned with the inscription of “Allah” in the upper corners of the architectural arches.
Meanwhile, the Grand Mosque in Makkah is filled with the sweet scent of premium oud and perfume, courtesy of the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques.
During Ramadan, the authority conducts 20 incense rounds daily, using two kilograms of high-quality natural oud. Additionally, the Black Stone, Al-Multazam, and the Yemeni Corner are perfumed five times daily with amber and rose oil before each prayer.
The authorities’ efforts aim to create a serene and welcoming atmosphere for worshippers and pilgrims, allowing them to perform their prayers and rituals in comfort and tranquility.
