The 2025 Hajj pilgrimage has officially commenced with the arrival of the first batch of pilgrims from Bangladesh at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

On Tuesday, a flight carrying 396 pilgrims from Dhaka touched down in Jeddah, marking the beginning of a series of arrivals expected at both Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.
Earlier, a batch from India arrived with 545 pilgrims to a warm reception by Saudi authorities.
Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, personally welcomed the pilgrims, highlighting the kingdom’s preparations for the annual event. “Six main airports have been allocated to serve the pilgrims,” Al-Jasser said, emphasizing the integrated system of services in place to ease the pilgrims’ journey.
The Bangladeshi pilgrims were warmly received by officials, including Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, M. Delwar Hossain. A total of 87,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims are expected to perform Hajj this year. In fact, another flight from Bangladesh with 414 pilgrims arrived at Jeddah airport, where they expressed gratitude for the efficient arrangements.
The Hajj 2025 is scheduled to take place from June 4 to June 9. Saudi authorities have activated their operational plans to ensure a smooth and spiritually fulfilling experience for all pilgrims
