Makkah — The Consul General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Ibrahim Muazzum, has reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating closely with Nigeria’s National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) to ensure a smooth and hitch-free 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
Ambassador Muazzum made this pledge during a courtesy visit to the NAHCON advance team at its Makkah office in Umul Juhd. He emphasized that his office is dedicated to supporting the Nigerian pilgrims and resolving any consular issues that may arise, stating, “I have resolved to pursue issues that will benefit the guests of Allah. We are committed to ensuring their safety, comfort, and spiritual fulfillment.”
Reaffirming his office’s support, the ambassador added, “Our office is open 24/7 to address all consular-related issues promptly. We understand the importance of this sacred duty and will continue to provide all necessary assistance to Nigerian pilgrims.”

During the visit, the NAHCON Advance Team Leader, Alidu Shutti, briefed the envoy on the ongoing preparation efforts for the 2025 Hajj. On behalf of NAHCON’s Chairman and CEO, Shutti assured the ambassador that “the commission will leave no stone unturned in its efforts to make the 2025 Hajj a resounding success.” He expressed confidence that through continuous cooperation, the plans are well on track to facilitate a seamless pilgrimage experience for all Nigerian pilgrims.
Shutti also conveyed the Chairman/CEO’s appreciation for the unwavering support Nigeria’s Consulate General has consistently extended. “We truly value the support from your office and look forward to working closely to address any challenges that may emerge as we approach the Hajj season.”
The meeting underscored the strong partnership and shared determination to make the 2025 Hajj a spiritually fulfilling and incident-free exercise. Both parties expressed optimism that their collaborative efforts will deliver a memorable pilgrimage for Nigeria’s faithful in the Holy Land.
