As Vice President Kashim Shettima marked his 59th birthday, the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) offered glowing tributes, describing him as the most pilgrimage-friendly Vice President in the nation’s history.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Commission and its Board, Executive Secretary Bishop Stephen Adegbite praised Shettima’s unwavering support for both Christian and Muslim pilgrimages, highlighting his commitment to religious inclusivity and national development.
“I deeply appreciate the Vice President’s vibrancy, loyalty, partnership, and support for the President and the Renewed Hope Agenda of the administration,” Adegbite said. “I also acknowledge Sen. Shettima as the most pilgrimage-friendly Vice President in the history of Nigeria and thank him for his unalloyed support for the Hajj and Christian Pilgrimage.”

The NCPC leader commended Shettima’s vision for a more prosperous Nigeria, noting that his courage, tenacity, and belief in the country’s greatness have remained steadfast. He described the Vice President as “a dependable ally, a detribalised Nigerian, a man of few words but full of action, and a leader with great capacity, candour, and sagacity.”
Extending birthday wishes, Adegbite added, “On this occasion of the Vice President’s 59th birthday, we wish him renewed strength, wisdom, and good health to finish well in the service of the nation.”
