The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has begun preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise by inspecting the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board’s facilities. Led by Lagos Zonal Coordinator Alhaji Mustapha Wasiu Adetoro, the team assessed the board’s readiness to support pilgrims.
This inspection is part of NAHCON’s efforts to ensure a smooth operation for Nigerian pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia. Notably, Nigeria’s slot allocation for the Hajj has been reduced to 66,910 pilgrims, and the commission is working to finalize arrangements
