The Lagos students of International Open University, formerly known as Islamic Online University have concluded arrangements to hold a webinar on Seeking Beneficial Knowledge via the internet, as part of its awareness month activities on Saturday March 6, 2021.
The programme which is specifically organised by the Lagos brothers who are students of the university is one of its activities for the Spring Awareness Month 2021 which began on February 14.
According to the Chairperson of the Student committee, Bro Abdurraheem Abdulazzez, the webinar will feature Ustadh AbdulKabir Al- Asfar who will deliver lecture on Seeking Beneficial Knowledge via the Internet. He stated that the students have also embarked on several other activities such as one-on-one interaction, social media engagement of the youths as well as sensitisation at some Jumat Mosques for the purpose of educating and informing the ummah and parents generally about the university and different programmes offered by the university.
According to him, the awareness campaign is a world wide activity embarked upon by Students in various countries of the world to spread the good news of seeking beneficial knowledge from the university. “this is organised by the Lagos brothers of the institution and we are proudly inviting other youths and those who desire beneficial knowledge to try IOU.
