Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced vaccination of 2021 intending Pilgrims with Management, Board members and other staffers of the Agency taking the lead.
Speaking during the kick-off ceremony, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Muhammad Abba Dambatta, said the move was in line with the directives from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON,in preparation for 2021 spritual journey.
Muhammad Abba Dambatta revealed that the Board in collaboration with the state Ministry of Health, has made all necessary arrangements for the successful conduct of the vaccinatin exercise with a view to achieving hitch free exercise..
The Executive Secretary maintained that the Board will ensure that all the intending Pilgrims will be vacinated with the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine at various enlighthenment centres across the state .
Dabbatta pointed out that, during the recent meeting with all Chief Executives of Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, the Chairman of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Barrister Zikirullah Kunle Hassan, lauded the effort of Kano state Governor for providing the Board with Bank Verification Number generating machine, 47 number of Laptops Computers for Center officers, three number of Buses and other achievements so far recorded on hajj servings scheme.
He called on all the intending Pilgrims to ensure that they are vaccinated, as according to him no Hajj for any person without been vaccinated
Speaking on behalf of Board members, the chairman of the Board, Professor Abdallah Saleh Pakistan, appealed to all intended Pilgrims to comply with the directives as the vaccination is not against the islam
Professor Pakistan, who cited various Quranic verses and Prophetic tradition on important of seeking medical attention during pandemic, adviced the general public more expecially intending pilgrims to take the vaccine in good faith, stressing that they are sure that it is good for health.
