The Saudi Arabia Ministry for Islamic Affairs and Dawah on Sunday issued instructions to Mosques Kingdom-wide to limit the use of External Speakers to the Adhan and Iqamah only.

Previously, the Salat were broadcast through the speakers 5 times a day in every Mosque in addition to special prayers.

Starting from Sunday, only the Adhan and Iqamah will be broadcast through the external speakers of the Mosque while the prayers will only be broadcast inside the Mosques

This decision excludes Mosques where worshipers are present outside especially on Jumu’ah and the Haramain Sharifain
