The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah recently announced new revised Vaccine Requirements for pilgrims arriving with an Umrah Visa.
According to the revised rules, any pilgrim with inoculated with any vaccine approved by the WHO can arrive in the Kingdom and obtain Umrah and other permits provided that they observe an institutional quarantine for 3 days and also submit to a PCR test 48 hours after completion of quarantine. After these requirements are met the pilgrim can obtain permits for Umrah, Tawaaf, Prayers at Masjid Al Haram and permits for Rawdah and Ziyarah at Masjid Al Nabawi.
The Ministry also clarified that any pilgrims inoculated with the Saudi Approved Vaccines are exempted from these requirements and can obtain permits immediately after arrival in the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia has currently approved the following Vaccines in the Kingdom: 2 doses of : Pfizer BioNTech or Comirnaty, 2 doses of : Oxford AstraZeneca, Covishield, SK Bioscience or Vaxzevria. 2 doses of : Moderna or Spikevax, and 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson.
Travelers who have completed two doses of the Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccines will be exempted aswell on the condition that they have received an additional dose of one of the vaccines approved in the Kingdom mentioned above
