BREAKING: All age group can now perform Umrah— Hajj Ministry

MAKKAH: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has allowed all age groups to obtain permits for Umrah, Prayers in Masjid Al Haram and Rawdah Al Shareefah, Ziyarah and visit to the Prophet’s Mosque who are “Immune” as displayed on Tawakalana application.

Recently, the Ministry relaxed age requirements for those who are aged seven and above provided they are “Immune” as displayed on the Tawakalana Application.

A source told Inside the Haramain on Monday that the Ministry is relaxing the age requirement to 7 and above as the campaign to immunize children between aged between 5-11 gained pace in the Kingdom. The source further said that the Ministry will lower the age to 5 and above in the near future.

Today, Ministry source  said : “it is now allowing all age groups to obtain permits for Umrah, Prayers in Masjid Al Haram and Rawdah Al Shareefah, Ziyarah and Visit to the Prophet’s Mosque who are “Immune” as per the Tawakalana Applicationf

The source further said that an indiviual can perform one Umrah every 10 days, and that the Ministry source further said “and on whether there are arrangements to change it, especially with the approach of the month of Ramadan, it clarified that if there is any update regarding the 10 day recurring period, it will be announced at the time”
