NAHCON achieves over 50% total airlifts in 40 flights

Another 539 pilgrims from Kastina State early this morning departed for Saudi Arabia for Hajj rites.
The pilgrims were airlifted through MAX AIR flight VM1037 at 03:52hrs
According to the details released, the 539 Pilgrims include 385 males and 154 females from Kastina State and another 4 males from Venue State including 3 officials.
Yesterday, FLYNAS flight XY5042 departed Kebbi to Madinah at 12:10hrs with 426 Kebbi Pilgrims and 4 Officials. The pilgrims included 313 males and 113 females.
Also, AZMAN flight ZQ2356 which departed Kaduna at 23:50hrs arrived Madinah with 400 Kaduna Pilgrims and 3 officials. These include 221 males and 179 females.
Meanwhile, the Commission has been able to airlift 17,927 pilgrims in 40 flights as at the time of writing this report.
This is already more than 50 percent of it’s total airlift before the close of borders on July 5, for the Hajj rites in the Kingdom.
Recall that Saudi Arabia on April 17, 2022 allocated 43,008 Hajj slots to Nigeria out of the 1million projected pilgrims world over this year.
NAHCON, however, allocated 33 976 slots to all 36 states of the federation and Federal Capital Territory FCT, and 9,032 slots to the licenced private tour operators as well as 239 slots to the Armed Forces.”
Now, out of the 33,976 pilgrims NAHCON is obligated to airlift, 17,927 have been airlifted remaining 16,049 yet to be airlifted. This has to be done in the next 9 to 10 days before the close if the Saudi Arabian border on July 5.
