Lagos Muslim Pilgrims Board’s Secretary visits Radio Lagos/Eko FM, Traffic Radio

The Secretary, Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr. Saheed Olayiwola Onipede has led some management staff on a courtesy visit to the General Managers of both Radio Lagos/Eko FM, Mr. Jide Lawal and Lagos Traffic Radio (LTR) Mr. Tayo Akanle, in their respective stations.

Onipede told his hosts during the visit on Thursday, that the purpose of the visit was to familiarize himself with the radio stations and further strengthen the existing working relationships.

He also sought their assistance in the provision of adequate publicity for the activities of the Board during the Hajj and Umrah operations, stressing that he valued the synergy and successes the relationship had recorded over the years.
In his response, the General Manager, Radio Lagos/Eko FM, Mr. Jide Lawal, rejoiced with the Board Secretary on his appointment. He also prayed for his success  in his new assignment.

Lawal assured him of his organization’s readiness to partner with the Board with a view to ensuring that the Board achieve the much expected success in the forthcoming Y2023 Hajj and Umrah operations.

While at the Lagos Traffic Radio (LTR), the General Manager, Mr. Tayo Akanle also felicitated with the Board Secretary on his new appointment. He also assured Onipede of the station’s willingness to partner and support the Board in actualizing her set goals and targets.
Akanle stressed that the station would assist in promoting  the Board’s activities through her airwaves of about two million organic audience/listeners as well as the social media platforms.
He expressed hope that the partnership would help in moving Lagos State to greater heights.
Recall that Mr. Onipede was recently appointment by the Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as the new Secretary of the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in February, 2023. He was accompanied on the visit by some management staff of the Board.
