No fewer than four worshippers have died and seven others injured when the Zaria Central Mosque in Kaduna state collapsed on Friday.
The sad incident occurred during Asr prayers in the mosque. A source closed to the scene of the incident said four bodies have been recovered from the debris with several other sustaining varying degree of injuries.
The source confirmed that rescue operations are still ongoing.
It was gathered that funeral prayers will be conducted after Magrib prayers.
