Hajj 2024: Plateau pegs N2m as deposit

The Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has pegged a minimum of N2 million as deposit for the 2024 hajj.
The Acting Executive Secretary of the Board, Hajiya Aishatu Ibrahim Saleh, who stated
this in a statement signed by the Information Officer, Alhaji Nanu Sanusi, added that intending pilgrims are at liberty to pay more than N2 million pending the announcement of the final hajj fares by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON.
She said that NAHCON has recently allocated 1345 hajj slots to the state, assuring that priority will be given to those who could not perform last hajj while other new intending Pilgrim’s will be considered on a first come-first-served basis.

Hajia Saleh added that those who have their deposit with the board and did not perform the 2023 year hajj should come to the board to get a bank teller for topping up their deposits while those seeking for refund will be invited in due course.
She hailed the state governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for his support to the board, adding that the governor is committed to leaving no stone unturned towards achieving a better 2024 hajj exercise.
