Chairman Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has explained that his meeting with Islamic leaders and clerics in the state was part of the consultative drive to strengthen the efforts of the Agency in achieving overall success not only during the 2024 Hajj but beyond.

According to him, the success of Hajj is a collective responsibility and therefore every stakeholder in the Hajj industry matters and must be carried along to work together as a team in achieving success.

He stated that the role of Islamic leaders cannot be overemphasized as they play very significant and critical role in the success or otherwise of Hajj. He therefore solicited for their support and cooperation in enlightening and educating muslim ummah, especially intending pilgrims on the new Hajj registration policy towards realizing the objective of improved delivery of services for pilgrims.
In their separate responses, the Islamic leaders affirmed their support for the Agency’s new leadership with promise to use their knowledge, expertise and experience to assist the new board’s helmsman to achieve the goal of seamless successive Hajj Operations.
