The Borno State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced collection of deposit payments from intending pilgrims for 2021 Hajj.
The Board said initial deposit of N1million will be paid by any intending pilgrim pending final approved registration fare for 2021Hajj to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The statement issued by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Ali Mallam Bukar said, any intending pilgrim who wishes to deposit less than N1million should pay in installments to the coffers of newly introduced Hajj Savings Scheme at Ja’iz Bank immediately.

The Executive Secretary further said, the management would take into consideration the principle of first come first serve and give priority to those intending pilgrims who paid for the year 2020 Hajj and decided to roll-over to 2021 Hajj over those who are paying for 2021 now.
The statement signed by the Executive Secretary urged all intending pilgrims who have made deposit for 2020 Hajj and could not complete payment or the mentioned amount to hurry and top up the balance immediately.
“The management further appealed to all intending depositors to make their payments through certified Bank draft bearing their names, telephone and passport numbers at the back of the draft to the Board Headquarters along Kano road Maiduguri.

“Itending pilgrims are also advised to be careful in transacting with third party in the name of the Board pointing out that Board will not be held responsible if deposit were made to any unauthorized person not recognized by the Board.
