The acting Chairman /CEO of NAHCON who also doubles as the commissioner in charge of PRSILS Sheikh Suleman Momoh Imonikhe, has described the commission’s Digital Transformation as one of the best steps taken to develop and build Nigeria”s Hajj system to meet global standards.
The commissioner while fielding question from reporters in his office said that, the aim of Digital Transformation plan of the commission was to professionalize Hajj management away from the current bureaucratic system that would empower both administrators and pilgrims.

According to him, the movement from analogue to digital transformation which is being championed by NITDA would have a lot of bearing in the arrangement and cost of Hajj especially in the area of pilgrims registration, accommodation, transportation and flight arrangements.
He stated that as a fall out, the commission’s accounting system and administration would also become automated thereby ensuring the transformation of Hajj administration in the country.
Sheikh Momoh therefore commended the stakeholders In the Hajj industry particularly the 36 states Pilgrim Welfare Boards, the FCT and the Armed Forces for embracing the concept, pointing out that their cooperation has in no small measure ensured that Hajj management in Nigeria is elevated to the highest level.
