The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, has commended the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh, for his foresight and efforts in implementing initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims.
Ambassador Tuggar made this remark during a virtual interview from Abu Dhabi with Hajj Chronicles
He highlighted the significant strides made by NAHCON under Professor Saleh’s leadership, emphasizing that these measures have greatly enhanced the Hajj and Umrah experience for pilgrims across the country.
Ambassador Yusuf revealed that since his assumption of office, Professor Saleh has consistently reached out to him for advice. He described this move as a testament to the Chairman’s commitment to excellence and a strategy that will undoubtedly enhance NAHCON’s capacity to deliver on its mandate.
The Minister also acknowledged the proactive steps taken by NAHCON to address challenges in the sector and ensure the smooth operation of pilgrimage activities. He expressed confidence that these efforts would continue to strengthen Nigeria’s standing in global Hajj and Umrah affairs.
Ambassador Tuggar further reiterated the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to supporting NAHCON in its mission to provide world-class services to Nigerian pilgrims.
He urged citizens to continue to cooperate with the Commission and other stakeholders in fostering improvements in the pilgrimage process.
