THE management of the Gombe State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board under the able leadership of Alh Sa’adu Hassan (Sardaunan Yamaltu) the Executive Secretary of the Board, has announced the commencement of refund of 61,080.00 Naira to 2,596 pilgrims who participated in the 2023 Hajj Exercise, in respect of unfulfilled services rendered by the Saudi Arabian Authority.
He added that each Pilgrim is entitled to receive a refund of 61,080.00 Naira, urged the affected pilgrims to urgently submit their passport and Bank account details through their respective local government Hajj officers or directly to the Board, with the aims to ensure that all refunds are appropriately disbursed and reached the intended beneficiaries without any discrepancy.

Alh Sa’adu Hassan further said” over 73,336 pilgrims were expected to receive the refunds across the 36 states of the federation and the FCT, with Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kwara, Lagos and the FCT having some of the highest number of affected pilgrims.
Alh Sa’adu Hassan called on all interested pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj Exercise to promptly deposit their fares with the Board or through the Eleven local government Hajj officers arms to ensure the timely transmission of funds to the National body (NAHCON) and facilitate early arrangements of the 2025 Hajj Exercise in compliance with the guidelines set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
