BAUCHI State Governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad CON has approved the commencement of refund of the services not rendered to state Pilgrims who performed the 2023 pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris made this known at a press briefing aimed at to pronounce the modalities of disbursement of the fund, held in his office. Saying the fund was received from Saudi Arabia through National Hajj of Nigeria NAHCON.
Imam Abdurrahman noted that Bauchi State has received the sum of Two Hundred and Three Million, Two Hundred and Seventy-Four Thousand, Two Hundred and Forty Naira, (N 203, 274,240) for its 3328 pilgrims, adding that each Pilgrim will get SR150 equivalent to N61,080 Nigerian Money.

He further stated that his Board has completed arrangements for the E-payment and therefore produced a special requisition form to have details on the pilgrims ‘ and their Banks for the screening and immediate transfer of the fund.
Imam Abdurrahman said ” On submission of the form, all pilgrims are expected to attach copies of their hajj payment receipts, E-passport data page copy and the account number that bears their name as beneficiary”.
According to him, Local Government Pilgrims are to meet their Local Government Hajj Officers while Hajj Saving Scheme and the Board’s pilgrims will contact the Boards’ Headquarters in Bauchi for securing the form..
While reiterating the commitment of his Board to ensure transparent and prudent disbursement of the fund, Imam Abdurrahman appreciated Governor Bala administration’s desires to pay a needed attention to pilgrims’ welfare.
