Governor Umar Bago of Niger State paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, at the Hajj House, Abuja.
The visit, which took place today, March 11, 2024, was a significant gesture of goodwill and cooperation between the Niger State government and NAHCON.
During the visit, Governor Bago was warmly received by Professor Usman, alongside NAHCON Commissioners, Management, and Staff. Details of their discussions were not disclosed, Sources say it is not unconnected with the VIPs tent issue at Mina and other matters related to the upcoming Hajj season, including logistics, pilgrim welfare, and other pertinent issues.

As the 2025 Hajj season approaches, NAHCON has been engaging with various stakeholders, including state governments, to ensure a seamless and successful pilgrimage. Professor Usman has been leading efforts to improve Hajj operations, including visits to key states and meetings with governors.
The courtesy visit by Governor Bago underscores the importance of collaboration between NAHCON and state governments in achieving a successful Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
