KADUNA State Pilgrim’s Welfare Agency on Monday said it had toured 18 designated orientation and education centres across Kaduna State to sensitise intending pilgrims on this year’s Hajj exercise.
Executive Secretary of the Agency, Malam Yusuf Arrigasiyyu, said this while addressing intending pilgrims at Kinkinau centre in Kaduna South Local Government Area.
Arrigasiyyu explained that the exercise was geared towards educating intending pilgrims on the rudiments of Hajj and relevant policies of Saudi Arabia as well as rules and regulations so as not to fall victim.
He said the sensitisation was also to keep the pilgrims abreast of the entire Hajj operations to enable them attain acceptable and hitch free Hajj exercise.

He charged the intending pilgrims to always abide by the rules and regulations of the exercise in order to achieve acceptable Hajj in line with the Islamic injunctions and teachings of the Holy prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him).
Also at the Kaduna North centre, the Head of Accounts of the Agency, Mallam Surajo Umar, briefed the pilgrims on how best to handle their Basic Travel Allowance (BTA) in order to avoid falling into the hands of fraudsters in Saudi Arabia.
Umar also cautioned them against frivolous spending so as to guide against running short of funds in the holy land.
On her part, Hajiya Hadiza Yahaya, Head of the Agency’s Sensitisation Department, sensitised the intending pilgrims on the dos and don’ts of the Hajj exercise by displaying pictures of important places of worship in Mecca and Medinah. (NAN)
