The leadership of the Oyo State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) met with local Hajj coordinators, Thursday at the Hajj Camp in Olodo, Ibadan, as part of preparations for the 2025 Hajj.
The meeting, which was aimed at ensuring a successful and hitch-free Hajj operation, brought together key stakeholders and coordinators from across the state.
During the meeting, the board’s leadership discussed various aspects of the Hajj preparations, including transportation, accommodation, and welfare of pilgrims.
The Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (Muslim Wing), Alhaji Taofeek Akewugbagold, emphasized the importance of collaboration and coordination among all stakeholders to ensure a successful Hajj operation.

“We are committed to making the 2025 Hajj a success, and we cannot do it alone. We need the support and cooperation of all local Hajj coordinators and stakeholders to achieve this goal,” Akewugbagold said.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for local Hajj coordinators to share their experiences and challenges from previous Hajj operations, and to suggest ways to improve the process.
With the 2025 Hajj just around the corner, the Oyo State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) is leaving no stone unturned in its preparations to ensure a smooth and successful operation.
