The Emirate of Makkah has begun the Registration for Permits for those who wish to serve Iftar in Masjid Al Haram, Makkah during Ramadan this year
The Saudi authorities have begun the issuance of Iftar Distribution Permit registration in Masjid Al Haram, Makkah for the forthcoming Ramadan 1442.
The Emirate of Makkah announced the commencement of the registration today. The registration is meant for those who wish to serve Iftar in Masjid Al Haram, and to control the process.
The Emirate on its website has stated that the registration is for permits for serving Iftar inside the Haram, its courtyards, and various other neighborhoods of Makkah.

After the pandemic began last year the serving of Iftar in the Haramain Sharifain was stopped for Ramadan and the usual Sunnah fasting days as a precautionary measure.
The Emirate has also stated that ‘the granting of permits will be subject to the authorities who will determine the available numbers and the distribution mechanism’, the notice said.

Meanwhile, the routine maintenance of the Kaaba also carried out today. Several volunteers where seen busy with the cleaning of the Holy house. Last week, the roof of the Kaaba was given face lift.
