Tonight, the Kiswah of the Kaaba has been lowered.  This is in line with the tradition to close the hajj season and also the  1442 Hijri.

The development is an annual tradition after the Hujjaj had departed and towards the close of the Islamic year.
Usually, it is raised ahead of the Hajj season so the Kiswah is not damaged. Despite the pandemic and no access to the Kabah, this yearly tradition is being maintained.  As at the time of writing this report, the kiswah has been lowered.

This according to the Haramain applies only to local pilgrims.
Recall that the Authorities had in its guidelines on Umrah 1443 A.H released recently indicated that only 18 years and above can apply.
It was gathered that some of nationals resident in the kingdom had called for relaxation of such guideline and sought for children to be allowed to perform umrah with their parents.
