THE Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), an umbrella body for Muslims in the Southwest, will on Sunday, September 25, 2022, launch a N10billion Endowment Fund.
The event is scheduled to hold at Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos.
A statement by Chairman, Organising Committee, Alhaji Lere Alimi and MUSWEN Executive Secretary Prof. Muslih Yahya, said the fund was meant to build a world-class National Secretariat, Resource and Entrepreneural center in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Alhaji Alimi said the center will primarily be designed to help youths acquire functional commercial skills, capacity development to start and grow business and open access to funding and financing opportunities.
“The center is designed to have many components including entrepreneurial center for business development services, counselling, training and skill acquisition services, 100-guest chalets, Jumah Mosque, shopping and multi-purpose halls, banquets and restaurants among others,” Prof Yahya added.

According to Alimi, guests expected at the launch include all the Southwest governors, lawmakers, royal fathers, ministers and captains of industry.
The All-Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) counterparts, Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwankwaso, Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu; the Awujale of Ijebuland Oba Sikiru Adetona and Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, he said, will lead other guests to the event.
Among the personalities expected are Chairman, Rite Foods Ltd, Alhaji Sulaimon Adegunwa; Chairman and Founder, Fate Foundation, Alhaji Tajudeen Fola Adeola; and Baba Addini of Lagos Sheikh Afeez Abou while President, MUSWEN & Deputy President-General (South), NSCIA) Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo will be the host.
