The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has signed an amended contract with Mashariq Al Dhabia, a Saudi-based company, to provide services for Nigerian pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj operations.
According to NAHCON Chairman/CEO, Prof Abdullahi Saleh Usman, the amendment was necessary to clarify grey areas in the original contract and ensure a smooth and successful Hajj operation.

“The commission and the company have only one goal, to serve Nigerian pilgrims excellently,” Prof Usman emphasized.
Prof Usman reassured intending pilgrims that NAHCON has completed arrangements for the 2025 Hajj operations and debunked rumors of contract cancellation.
“Anything outside this is not known to the commission. The commission has not cancelled any contract with any company,” he stated.

Muhammad Hassan, Chairman of Mashariq Al Dhabia, expressed gratitude to NAHCON and pledged to provide excellent services to Nigerian pilgrims.
“We pray Allah gives us wisdom to make this deal a blessed one. We thank the commission. Insha’Allah, you will see our service, and we pledge to do everything to ensure Nigerian pilgrims are served better,” Hassan said.
The contract amendment signing ceremony was held at the Hajj House in Abuja, with Muhammad Hassan leading the delegation from Mashariq Al Dhabia.

Recall that there were allegations from a section of the media that the commission had cancelled the contract, sparking concerns about the 2025 Hajj preparations.
However, NAHCON swiftly debunked the allegations, explaining that only minor amendments were made to the contract for better service delivery.
