NAHCON inspection team lauds Adamawa Muslim Pilgrims Commission

The Adamawa State Government and the State Pilgrims Welfare Commission have been commended for providing a befitting office complex and creating an enabling working environment for staff of the Commission

A delegation from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON, on an inspection visit to the Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission led by Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Shira made the commendation in Yola Wednesday.

The Team Leader, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammed Shira, who is also the Head of Tour Operators, NAHCON said they were in Adamawa State for the renewal of licence of the State Muslim Pilgrims Commission as well as to inspect its facilities which is one of the criteria for issuing and renewal of licence by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.

He, however said even before the delegation commenced the inspection of the entire facility, they were satisfied with what they saw on arrival to the office complex.

Earlier, in a welcome remarks, Chairman of the Commission, Sheikh Bappari Umar Kem who welcomed the delegation to Adamawa State, assured the team of support and cooperation to discharge their task.

In his speech, the Permanent Secretary and Executive Secretary of the Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Malam Salihu Abubakar who presented a comprehensive and detailed report, informed the Team that the Executive Governor of the State, Alhaji Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on assumption of office had approved and released funds for the completion of the office block as well as provide befitting office furniture to all cadres of staff, in order to encourage them to put in their best considering the crucial role they play in Hajj operation.

After the inspection of the facilities, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Shira lauded the efforts of Adamawa State Government and the Management of the Commission, especially the Executive Secretary Malam Salihu Abubakar describing him as a committed and transparent Chief Executive Officer who created excellent working environment for the staff, expressing his satisfaction with what he saw.

Highlight of the event was the inspection of facilities at the Commission headquarters, Hajj camp and screening center.
