The Chairman/CEO National Hajj Commission Alhaji Zhikrullah Kunle Hassan has mourned the death of Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Dr. Shehu Idris who passed on a few days ago.
A statement signed the the Head Public Affairs Division of tge commission, Hajia Fatima Sand Usara reads: “The Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, on behalf of Board Members, Management and staff of the Commission, mourns the sudden but honourable exit of the revered Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Dr. Shehu Idris, a celebrated peoples’ Emir.

The demise of Alhaji Shehu Idris came at a time dignified royal fathers like him are most needed in cementing the unity of the Nigerian society along the vision of the state and federal government of Nigeria.
The NAHCON family extends its heartfelt condolence to the President and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari, the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufa’I, the family of the late Emir, the Emirate and entire people of Zazzau over the loss of the venerated statesman.
We pray jannatul firdaus to be his final abode. May the Almighty grant his family and people the fortitude to bear the loss.
