National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON) , Tuesday parleyed with the leadership of Association of Hajj and Umrah Operators in Nigeria (AHUON) to address areas of concern in the ongoing hajj operation.
There has been unresolved issue pertaining to IBAN gridlock which resulted in flight cancellations. The issue also has far reaching financial implications.
NAHCON in a statement signed by Assistant Director, Public Affairs, Hajia Fatima Sanda Usara said the meeting was convened “to resolve the lingering issues pertaining to IBAN gridlock and the concern over flight cancellations that comes with financial implications.”

IBAN is International Bank Account Number, an internationally agreed system of identifying bank accounts across national borders to facilitate the communication and processing of cross border transactions with a reduced risk of transcription errors.
On the side of the AHUON, according to her, were Nasir Yahaya Suleiman, National President of AHOUN; Haruna Ismail, Vice President; Usman A. Ambursa, Vice President Abuja; Ikrimah Muhammad, Financial Secretary and Nasiru M. Chamo Publicity Secretary.
