The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has taken its stakeholder engagement to the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Babatunde.
The visit, led by NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Usman, aimed to seek the support of traditional rulers in promoting awareness about Hajj rites and civic responsibilities among pilgrims.
During the visit, Professor Usman emphasized the importance of educating pilgrims about the significance of Hajj and their roles in upholding its values. He also solicited the Oba’s assistance in promoting the Hajj Savings Scheme, a vital initiative aimed at addressing challenges facing Hajj operations in Nigeria.

Oba Rilwan Babatunde, in his response, commended NAHCON for the visit and urged the Chairman, his team, and other Hajj managers to discharge their duties in accordance with Islamic teachings.
The Oba’s endorsement is seen as a significant boost to NAHCON’s efforts to engage stakeholders and promote a successful Hajj operation.
