NAHCON: Senate confirms appointment of Malam Arabi, others

The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Mallam Jalal Ahmad Arabi as the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The confirmation was done today (Wednesday) during plenary.

Malam Arabi whose appointment was announced on October 17, 2023 took over from Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan in acting capacity.

President Tinubu through a communication to the Senate sought for the approval of Arabi with other members of the board including, Anofiu Elegushi, Prof. Abubakar Yagawal and Aliu Abdulrazak as NAHCON Commissioners.

Arabi will serve as the NAHCON Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a term of four (4) years in the first instance.
