The Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has been commended for having one of the best system of Hajj fare collection and pilgrims co-ordinating strategy.
This was disclosed by the head of Inspection team that led the team from National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON to Niger State, Alhaji Ahmad Mohammed, after inspecting the facilities at the State Hajj Camp in Tudunfulani, Minna.
Alhaji Ahmad Mohammed said he was impressed by the facilities provided at the permanent hajj camp, describing it as marvelous and up to standard.

The head of the delegation also commended Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, for the support extended to the state Pilgrims Welfare board.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Umar Makun Lapai, announced that Niger State has the highest number of the Pilgrims in the last exercise before COVID-19 and none of them absconded while in the Holy Land and that the board was fully committed to pilgrims welfare and transparency in her transactions.
The board chairman represented by Barrister Muhammad Umar, a member of the board in his welcome address, commended the National Haji Commission for the good job they are doing.
He assured the Commission that Niger State would continue to work hand in hand for successful hajj operations.
