Federal Commissioner representing North Central at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Hajiya Halima Jibril, has called on the management of Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board to embrace quality and effective service delivery to the pilgrims especially in the areas of Hajj saving scheme, pilgrims education and pilgrims management.
She was speaking during an advocacy visit she paid to the state pilgrims welfare board to familiarize with them.
She explained that her purpose of visit was to interact with the management of the board, to chat a way forward towards the preparation of 2022 hajj exercise.

In his response, the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Umar Makun Lapai, congratulated and inform her of their readiness to improve on the services that will make pilgrims have value for their money.
He said that even though the board has provided facilities for the Hajj Savings Scheme, no single individual has indicated his/her interest.
He also emphasized on the issue of roll over pilgrims whose interest must be taken into consideration first during 2022 Hajj.
He appealed to her to advise NAHCON to respect its promise on roll-over pilgrims in the interest of sincerity and respect for promise made to the pilgrims during the 2020/2021 failed Hajj .
