The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has taken a significant step towards ensuring the success of the 2025 Hajj operations by securing Tent A camp for Nigerian pilgrims, particularly VIPs.
Last year’s Tent A camp issue had far-reaching consequences, with some VIPs not having tents to stay. This not only caused discomfort but also raised concerns about the overall management of the Hajj pilgrimage. However, thanks to the proactive efforts of NAHCON’s Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, the commission has been able to secure 2,800 VIP bed spaces in the newly constructed building located just a few meters from the Jamrat.

The commission’s directive to Tour Operators to upgrade their payments for Tent A accommodation is a testament to its commitment to transparency and accountability. The fact that the facility is a five-storey building with 23 rooms on the first floor and 30 rooms each on the second, third, and fourth floors is a significant improvement over previous arrangements.
