A high-level meeting took place between the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Professor Muhammad Pate, and the Saudi Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel.
Also in attendance was NAHCON’s board member representing Health, Dr. Saidu Dumbulwa.
The meeting focused on facilitating efficient healthcare services for Nigerian pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj. This collaborative effort aims to ensure the well-being and safety of Nigerian pilgrims during their spiritual journey.
As part of NAHCON’s efforts to enhance the Hajj experience, Professor Usman has been actively engaging with relevant stakeholders. Recently, he met with the Minister of Health to discuss medical support for pilgrims.

NAHCON has also been working on other initiatives to improve the Hajj experience, including the selection of official air carriers for the 2025 Hajj operations. Four airlines – Air Peace Limited, Fly-Nas, Max Air, and UMZA Aviation Services Limited – were chosen to transport Nigerian Muslim pilgrims.
