Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has met with Jaiz Bank Officials on modalities to migrate hajj deposits of Intending Pilgrims for 2020/2021 into Hajj Saving Scheme.
This follows the directive of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)
Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Salau Dauda requested for the modalities to be used in migrating the deposits in a way that would not bring hardship to the intending pilgrims and the Board.
Salau stated that 60 percent of intending pilgrims as agreed with NAHCON, would be migrated to HSS and be done in batches for ease of administration and proper monitoring towards ensuring first come, first serve basis after due consultation with intending pilgrims and relevant stakeholders.
He emphasised that some of the intending pilgrims do not have better understanding about the migration process hence the need to communicate them on the modalities to be adopted, adding that the Board would give necessary support towards its success.
The leader of the team and the Unit Head, Private Banking and Institutional Banking Group, Mr. Sakirudeen Aminu said that the migration process would capture the detailed information about intending pilgrims in order to ensure proper documentation, commending the Board for their conduct and the level of preparedness towards a seamless 2022 Hajj exercise.
