Kaduna State – The Sabon Gari Local Government Area Hajj Registration Centre has successfully conducted a Hajj Pilot Exercise (Bita) as the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Commission’s outreach programme entered its thirteenth week.
The exercise, held over the weekend, is part of the Commission’s ongoing sensitisation and educational programme designed to prepare intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
According to officials, the Bita programme is simultaneously taking place across all 23 local government Hajj Registration Centres in Kaduna State, as well as at the Commission’s headquarters.
The event in Sabon Gari was attended by senior officials including the Director of Outreach, Malam Abubakar Alhassan, and the Chief of Staff of the Commission, Malama Rakiya S. Ladan.

Speaking after the exercise, the Commission’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Datti, explained that the outreach is aimed at ensuring pilgrims are well-informed, spiritually prepared, and logistically ready for the journey.

“The Bita programme is a vital part of our preparation process. It helps intending pilgrims understand the rites, responsibilities, and expectations of Hajj, ensuring they are properly guided before departure,” Datti said.
The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Commission reaffirmed its commitment to supporting all registered pilgrims with comprehensive training and guidance ahead of the 2026 pilgrimage.
