Apparently reacting to the fallout of the new culture of musical concert and freedom to mix and other social gatherings, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has placed a fine on anyone caught playing ‘music’ of any kind during the call of Prayer (Adhan) from Mosques.

The penalty will be a fine of SAR 1000 for first time violation and SAR 2000 for repeat violations.

Meanwhile, the authorities said the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah will announce the procedure and regulations for the coming Hajj rites in July.

According to a Haramain Sharifain, “All procedures and regulations related to Hajj 1443 AH will be announced through the official channels of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in due course”
