The forum of Chief Executive Officers of Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Agencies and Commissions in Nigeria has expressed its readiness to cooperate and assist the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, in ensuring a hitch free 2024 Hajj exercise.
Speaking during a Freedom Radio Kaduna Hausa programme, Barka Da Warhaka, the Vice Chairman of the Forum and the Executive Secretary of Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Dr Yusuf Yakubu Arrigasiyyu also said that the Forum was confident in the leadership qualities of the chairman, Malam Ahmad Jalal, whom he described as a seasoned technocrat.o
He said the Forum was impressed by the chairman’s humility and commitment to carry everyone along in laying and solidifying structures for conducting a seamless Hajj operation in the country.
The Vice Chairman who said, though each Hajj operation year comes with its peculiar challenges, nonetheless with commitment, sacrifice, selflessness, cooperation and understanding amongst stakeholders, all hurdles would be scaled and problems surmounted.
Dr. Yusuf Arrigasiyyu said the Forum acknowledged the efforts of Malam Jalal in constituting accommodation and feeding screening committee which ensured only competent, experienced and tested applicants were engaged for effective service delivery to pilgrims.
The Vice Chairman who advised that the chairman, Malam JALAL avoided unnecessary and unwelcome external interferences and insorbodination by staff that would jeopardise the Commission’s activities, nonetheless called on him to be open minded and be receiptive to sound counseling and constructive criticism.
