Rejoinder: ‘Foundation cares for 500 widows, over 50 students in one year’ with the Phrase “PROGRAMME NOT WELL MANAGED”*
Our attention has been drawn to the publication made in one of the dailies on the above subject matter which a part of it was found to be injurious to the iFlier FM, Ibadan. We regret the damage caused by the publication and therefore retract the statement.
A statement by the Oyedola Foundation states: “I, Andrew Oyedola the co-founder of Oyedola Foundation and Widow Centre, on behalf of the foundation, write this as a rejoinder to the publication which came out in one of the Nigerian dailies on Saturday 25th November 2023 with the headline ‘Foundation cares for 500 widows, over 50 students in one year’ which contains the phrase “PROGRAMME NOT WELL MANAGED” in reference to a great and reputable radio station mentioned in the publication: iFlier FM, Ibadan, where Oyedola Foundation has been privileged to start its programme before the two MCs who now anchor it took it up from August 2022 till date: Oludare Mayowa Oluwaseun (MC Mayor) and Ogunbiyi Adedamola Isaac (MC Wonder). We therefore retract the statement made against the station in the publication.
“We have found out not only that the statement does not represent our intention, but also found it inappropriate to a station who was just awarded ‘Most Improved Station’, and has been conducting educative programme as we have at Oyedola foundation”
We also express our readiness to work with the great station again on the empowerment programme and continue a genuine business relationship. We regret whatever damage caused by the publication,” he said.
