Niger pilgrims hold special prayers for State in Grand Mosque

Pilgrims from Niger state in Saudi Arabia will tomorrow observed a special prayer for the state and Nigeria for an end to the problems of banditry kidnapping hunger and other related vices that bedevilled the country.

Executive Secretary Niger state Pilgrims Welfare Board Alh Umar Makun Lapai stated this in a telephone interview with newsmen.

Alh Umar Makun Lapai said they have requested all the pilgrims from Niger state to join them in offering such prayers at the Masjidul Haram in Mecca Saudi Arabia tomorrow by 9am  after circumumbulation (tawaf)

According to him prayers remain the only viable option in bringing an end to the current security challenges which had continued unabated and called for all hands to be on deck to ensure that peace and stability return to the State and Nigeria.

Alh Umar Makun Lapai further said all the pilgrims from Niger state are hale and healthy and are expected to move to Madina from Mecca for some visitation any monent from now.

On the problem of abscondment by some pilgrims during annual hajj the Executive Secretary Niger state Pilgrims Welfare Board added that their pilgrims are well cultured and  will not embark on that shameful act
